Camila Oliveira

Camila De Oliveira began her musical studies at age 6. She later completed her bachelor's degree in piano performance after attending the Faculdade de Artes Alcântara Machado. In 2019, Camila received her postgraduate diploma in music and in 2021, she completed her master's degree in Piano Performance at the University of Auckland.

Camila is a PhD doctoral candidate with a Creative Practice Component at the University of Auckland. Her research will assess the playability required of the pianist for playing virtuoso piano repertoire using an ergonomically scaled piano keyboard (ESPK) - a keyboard with narrow keys. Camila's research is supported by the Taurus Charitable Trust, Ada Kathleen and Barbara Ellen Watson Scholarship, Beatrice Ratcliffe Postgraduate Scholarship in Music, and The Kate Edger Educational Charitable Trust Vinka Marinovich in Music.

While completing her current research project, she also maintains a comprehensive career as a collaborative pianist. Camila is a founding member of the Auckland Chamber Music Collective.
